> ICSOC Chairperson Selection Criteria
The General Committee (GC) and Program Committee (PC) co-chairs are nominated by the Steering Committee (SC). They are selected based on their world leading research as evidenced by their top citations in the area of service computing and related areas along with organizing cognate international conferences. They autonomously decide how they distribute their responsibilities within each group. The GC and PC suggest qualified persons for the other roles in the organization committee, typically two, at most four persons per role taking into account geographical representation (except for the local co-chairs). The GC an PC chair teams typically represent different continents like Europe and Africa, the Americas, Asia, Australia, and the Pacific Rim. The SC finally approves the names. GC and PC chairs must accept the rules of conduct of ethics and Guidelines for Conference Organizers
