ICSOC requires any organizer, reviewer, participant, and committee member to establish and maintain an inclusive scholarly community aiming at the highest standards of science, research, and professional conduct, as set forth in the ACM Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct. ICSOC requests, in particular, that papers and presentations based on research with data-driven techniques should consider explicitly ethical and societal implications associated with the protection and management of data including aspects like protection of personal data andprivacy, and the management of data and open data.ICSOCvalues equity and diversity, respecting all people irrespective of gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, religion, disability, age or other protected attributes. This includes treating all people fairly, valuing their opinion, and resolving disagreements in a positive non-offending manner.Any ICSOCconference and any associated or co-located event must strive for creating a welcoming, productive and positive experience for everyone. We do not tolerate harassment of participants, visitors or event staff in any form. Offensive language and imagery are not appropriate for any event, including talks and workshops. If a participant engages in harassing or offending behavior, the event organizers, after consultation with the ICSOCSC chairs, may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event with no refund.
